Dax - Chapter 2

I sighed heavily as I gazed out over the sea from my bedroom window. Once again I couldn't sleep, and stood there watching as the dawn crept slowly across the water. That lilting sea song that I had heard wafting over the waves so many weeks ago still haunted my dreams and waking hours.

Dax - Chapter 1

I sighed heavily but silently. It wouldn't do to let my dad know I didn't really appreciate these weekly visits to Papa Judd's grave. I barely remembered him any more. He died when I was really small. But Dad still misses him terribly, so I always come along with him. He had never found anyone else in all those intervening years, and we still live far out on the sand, in same house where Dad and Papa started their lives together, and where I was born.

Family Photos - Generation 3

Family Photos - Generation 3

As the Third Degree of Separation begins, there are still twelve households on the island, but the total population has increased from 35 to 50! I was worried for a while there, since my generation three sims were not reproducing at a satisfactory rate. So I messed around in NRaas Master Controller and Woohooer, and changed some parameters, and got a population explosion!

First thing I did was change the chance of an unexpected pregnancy from 10% to 50%. Then I briefly made it so anyone could get pregnant. I quickly changed that back when I realized one my elderly generation two ladies had gotten pregnant and I couldn't find any clothes for her to wear.

At any rate, here they are - Generation Three and their many children. Generation two (Andrae and Meaghan's generation) have almost all passed on at this point, and a few of Freya's generation have become elders.

Freya - Chapter 9

Not long after that first romantic interlude, Silvy and I sneaked away to the community center in the middle of the night, leaving Cinny in charge of Atsana at home. Silvy said he wanted to 'make an honest woman' of me, which I thought was sweet and old-fashioned of him.

Freya - Chapter 8

It was days after I cast the spell that freed him, and Silvanus was still shocked and overwhelmed by the change, both to himself and to the island.
"Where did it all go? The stone buildings, the monuments, and the land itself? Why, it's less than half the size it used to be! Even the weatherstone is gone!"
"Weatherstone?" I asked, intrigued.
He just shook his head sadly.
"It doesn't matter any more. It's all gone. And just look at me! How can I allow myself to be seen in this state?"
I tried again to tell him I thought his leafy green appearance was amazing, but he was not in a mood to listen.

Freya - Chapter 7

"Oh my, it certainly looks like you could use some help, dearie."
I'm quite sure I was never so glad to see anyone, as I was to see Aunt Aster as she breezed into my nursery a few days after my little wolf girl was born. It had been another sleepless night; her cries of hunger had awakened me every hour.
"Now, let me have a look at your little Atsana. What did you name her?"
"Uh.. Atsana?" I mumbled, deep in the throes of sleep deprivation. "Um. Name her? I haven't thought of a name yet."
Aster grinned at my incoherence.
"That's what Rudy always called our girls when they were little. He says it was his mother's pet name for her little wolf girls."

Freya - Chapter 6

"What shall we do for your birthday party, baby love?"
Cinny grinned and leaned close to whisper in my ear.
"Fairy party, mama!"

Freya - Chapter 5

I couldn't wait to start my new diving adventure. First, of course, I had to prep myself. I'd discovered a new kind of bean in my little roof top garden that gave me more energy that even buzzweed. 'Coffee'. That's what Silvanus said it was. He recommended brewing it, but I hadn't a clue as to how to go about doing that, so I just ate it raw. It was a tad bitter, but the buzz was totally worth it.

Freya - Chapter 4

Sooo. Yeah. It turned out Jaxon wasn't real happy that I had called out Silvanus' name in the heat of our, err, semi-passion in the hot spring. It had always agitated him whenever I mentioned my poor trapped friend, but now it was even worse.
"Your Silvanus isn't real, Freya. You're just imagining things. You've always had a vivid imagination, but this has gone too far. You have to stop!"

Freya - Chapter 3

When Silvanus said I needed to widen my search for the antidote to his curse, I was so excited. He wanted me to find a shipwreck! Supposedly, the witch that had cursed him fled on a ship that when down off the coast in a great storm. The witch himself escaped and was never seen again, but perhaps there would be clues to the curse on the ocean floor. So yes, I was excited!

Freya - Chapter 2

I hid in the dense undergrowth, silently watching my haunted bungalow. I'd been back many times since the night I first ran in terror from the spirit, never daring to venture closer than the edge of the property, hoping that this time the deep rumbling voice would be silent.
"Come closer, girl. Don't be afraid."
My heart pounding, I turned to run again. But I'd be back. Tomorrow the full moon would give me strength; I'd confront him then.

Freya - Chapter 1

"Arghh! I just don't get it! Daddy, why do I have to learn this stuff? I'm never gonna use it."
It was obvious that neither one of us wanted to be here, but my dad was insistent that I learn this boring geometry.

Family Photos - Gen 2

Here are the current households as of the end of Andrae's story.

I thought it would be fun to keep a record of how the island grows from it's initial four families. Right now there are twelve households, one of which has only first generation werewolves Ulric and Lupa living there. There are 16 young adults/adults in the second generation, plus one toddler still from the second generation.

I'm letting story progression do it's thing with no interference so far. If the male-female ratio doesn't improve soon, I might have to force a few girl babies.

First, of course, we have Andrae and Meaghan's family - five children, four boys and one girl.

Rudy and Aster's family is next in line. An interesting side note: I have autonomous teen try for baby turned on in NRaas Woohooer, and Alick was conceived while the two of them were still teens. I think he's adorable. It's too bad he and Freya are cousins, or I'd make them have a baby. Heck, I might turn on 'allow romantic near relations' and do it anyway. So far the count for Rudy-Aster is three children, one boy and two girls.

Mandrake and Sharee have three children - Freya and two little boys.

This odd-looking fairy here is Carey, the third son of Marten and Fawn. The witch is Lily, one of the twins that were toddlers when I finished Moonflower's story. They have one daughter so far, who inherited her grandmother Moonflower's snow white hair.

This is Ula, Andrae's little sister - the older one of the two wolf girls. She had a brief relationship with Valerian, which she broke off soon after she discovered she was pregnant with his child. The older child is his. After she broke up with Val, she hooked up briefly with Eagle and again was soon pregnant. And again, she broke it off before the baby was born. She and her two little boys live on their own at this time.

Lily's twin Lavender, and Meaghan's little sister Mishell decided early on that they were meant for each other. I have autonomous same sex try for baby turned on, but so far they are being uncooperative in the baby producing department.

Eagle is still single and lives with his parents and his baby sister. He had a brief relationship with Meaghan's little brother, and after that, the affair with Ula. I think his insane trait is hard on relationships.

Val still lives off by himself at the edge of the island. The only relationship he's had was the one with Ula. Like insanity, I think evilness also is not conducive to relationships.

Marlin, the second son of Marten and Fawn, lives by himself and has not been in a relationship yet. I"m not sure why. I think he might be insane, too.

As mentioned above, Meaghan's brother Judd had a brief affair with Eagle, but nothing after that. I checked his gender preference in Master Controller and he's definitely gay, so there's not a lot of choice for the poor guy on this tiny island. He still lives in the family home with his parents.

Andrae's baby sister Reva became a young adult not too long ago. She is still single but has moved out on her own, leaving her elderly parents alone in their home.

And there you have it. Nine boys so far for generation three, and only five girls - six if you count the toddler fairy who is technically part of generation two. Generation two eventually evened itself out, though, so I'm hoping this one will too.

Andrae - Chapter 10

I delivered Freya's birthday present the morning of the party, apologizing for the roughness of the telescope's design.
"It was the best I could do with the materials I had."
"No, it's perfect. I really appreciate it. Freya's going to love it. "
"It's the least I could do for all the effort you put into teaching my little terrors."

Andrae - Chapter 9

Some time has passed since we last looked in on Andrae and Meaghan. Jaxon is now a teen, Ezra has grown into a child, and there is a new addition to the family - little Mica.

"Hehehe!"
Mica giggled uproarously as I tickled him.
"Do you want to come with Ezra and me to see your cousins? Hmm?"
"Cuzins! Yay!"
"Okay then. Ezra!" I yelled for my middle son. "Let's go see Alick and Ella!"

Andrae - Chapter 8

"So... what do you think it all means? The glowing orb, the stars, the footprint patterns?"
I had finally gotten old Oakheart to look at the strange room under the Reception Hall. Of all the people on the island, he was the most likely to know what it all meant. He hummed and nodded as I described how the stars had moved from the first time I'd seen them.

Andrae - Chapter 7

"Hey you," she whispered, her soft breath tickling my ear. "I just put Jaxon down for his nap, and you know what I want to do?"
I pretended to be oblivious.
"Oh, I don't know - take a bath? Go for a walk?"
"No, silly," she giggled.

Andrae - Chapter 6

"I bet it's nice being off on your own, right? You and Meaghan, getting to do what you want when you want it, if ya know what I mean."
Rudy nudged me in the ribs with his elbow and shot me a knowing wink.
I plastered what I hoped was a genuine-looking smile on my face and and answered.
"Sure thing. Things are going great."
"I envy you. I'd like to do the same thing with Aster, but you know how it is. Have to make sure things are running like they should at home. Oh well, maybe sometime soon, once Ma gets a little more used to the new regime."

Andrae - Chapter 5

"Hey!"
I felt someone poking my leg but I ignored it and studiously kept my eyes closed, pretending to be asleep. I assumed it was Rudy doing the poking, as it was his voice that accompanied it.
"Hey! I know You're awake, Andrae. I could hear you snuffling all the way on the other side of the room."
He started again with the poking, and I continued to ignore him.
"You know you're never gonna get her back unless you grow some balls and get out there and do something about it."

Andrae - Chapter 4

Facing Ma after Meg's and my adventure in the cave of wells went pretty much as I expected. I was confined to the house until further notice. Now, while it's true that I'm technically an adult now, and can do as I please, life is - well, different - when you're part of a pack. Going against Ma was pretty much unthinkable.
